Halton is rich in the history and modern traditions of many First Nations and the Métis. From the Anishinabe to the Attawandaron, the Haudenosaunee, and the Métis, these lands have deep Indigenous history. We are in solidarity with our Indigenous brothers and sisters to honour and respect the four directions, lands, waters, plants, animals and ancestors that walked before us. We would like to acknowledge and thank the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation for sharing their traditional territory with us.

Kashif Chaudry has been a proud resident of Oakville for over a decade. A husband, and father of 2 young children, he has a track record of being a successful and highly regarded leadership professional, and corporate consensus-builder, across various industries. Kashif is known for having the heightened skills to affect meaningful & sustainable change, and gain the support of those around him at any level. An expert communicator, Kashif understands the value of relationships and is adept at negotiating specific solutions with measurable gains. He is an extraordinary initiator, with an impressive background of formulating bold ideas and then collaborating with key players to realize collective improvement.

Kashif wants to become a Town Councillor and serve the constituents of Ward 7 because he’s exceedingly passionate about addressing the pertinent issues those in Ward 7 face — residents central to the thrust of growth in North Oakville. He has paid close attention to issues surrounding densification, protecting green space, availability of community facilities, crime, traffic, parking, access to healthcare, diversity & inclusion, and small business support, and firmly believes he can contribute significantly to resolving problems and improving conditions. Ultimately, Kashif is committed to enhancing the lives of Ward 7 residents, and ensuring that they enjoy all the exceptional benefits living in Oakville provides.

Kashif has long had a passion for solving problems in his community. Over the years, he has worked closely with numerous organizations serving a diverse range of people. From mentoring minorities and immigrants, to working with groups focused on instilling peace and friendship amongst one another, to leading the charge for getting a mental health helpline back on its feet, to being strategic campaign advisor for a winning councillor in Halton, and, finally, to his most passionate cause — supporting a shelter for women-identified and non-binary people who are experiencing abuse and/or homelessness. Kashif has worked tirelessly towards solving a great many issues, for a diverse assortment of people.

Kashif believes that being Town Councillor for Ward 7 will put him in the best position to serve the collective interests of his community, and exercise a public-service commitment that has been central to his hard-working character for many years.
